ATTCH Niagara Receives Funding from United Way Niagara

ATTCH Niagara is grateful to announce that we have received funding from the United Way Niagara which will allow us to launch a new waitlist management program to support clients awaiting treatment and a new aftercare program to support clients who have completed treatment transition out of therapy.

The waitlist management group will be an ongoing open group available to waitlist and current clients that would offer weekly skills building sessions focusing on teaching core grounding, stabilization, containment, and resource installation skills. Although the majority of stabilization occurs through the treatment itself, we do anticipate this will allow clients to come a little bit more grounded into treatment and provide them some resources to utilize as they are waiting for therapy and help some of our more complex clients in active treatment receive some additional support to reinforce / supplement their healing.

We have also identified a need for an after care transitionary support as we are approaching treatment completion and following treatment completion. The goal of this  aftercare program would be to provide additional supports focused on connecting to community (resources available, other clients who have completed healing); increasing embodied awareness, deepening connection to and awareness of sense of self (discovery of who they are in absence of their trauma through providing exposure to self care practices such as music therapy, expressive arts, yoga, dance and movement, mindfulness, meditation, neurofeedback, somatic awareness training, bio feedback, general interest activities  etc).

We are so very grateful to be able to provide these much needed services and thank United Way Niagara for providing the funding that will allow us to do so!
