Teen Empowerment Program
Evidence Based Trauma Intervention Program for Teens Exposed to Domestic Violence - Developed through The National Institute for Trauma and Loss in Children

This is a group program for adolescents exposed to domestic violence and sexual assault. Sessions in the program use recordings of popular songs relating to the particular theme of the session, journaling, activities and work sheets. Sessions topics include: sexual assault, debriefing, parental involvement and others. This program also contains information for safety planning.

Group format includes:

• Take home learning resources
• Experiential / creative expressive arts techniques, psychoeducation and cognitive reframing
• Personalized care projects
• Healthy refreshments and snacks

Sessions run weekly from February 3 - March 24, 2015 Tuesdays from 6:00 - 8:00 pm

Cost (includes supplies and snacks): $100 for 8 2-hour group sessions. *Limited subsidized spaces are available.
